A Hybrid Transmission System Based on NFC-Enabled Mobile Phones

چکیده
Taking advantage of the characteristics of high security, convenience, and low power consumption in Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, this paper proposes programs of using NFC to establish a connection for Bluetooth and WiFi transmission. The combination of NFC, Bluetooth and WiFi can avoid the complex process of searching devices, pairing or joining the LAN in the traditional Bluetooth and WiFi transmission. It can ensure the security of the data transmission, and solve the problems of complex connection, poor security and large power consumption. The paper also proposes a strategy to choose a proper program for transmission according to the file size. Then a “Hybrid Transmission system” is designed and implemented in Android OS based on the proposed programs and the strategy. The performance of the system proves to be fine, overall superior to the traditional Bluetooth and WiFi transmission. The results show that this system has a high usability in actual use.
